Claude Opus 4.6 Released
Today, Anthropic released the latest Claude Opus 4.6. The official statement highlights that Claude Opus 4.6 surpasses its predecessor in coding capabilities. It plans more carefully, can execute agentic tasks for longer durations, runs more reliably in large-scale codebases, and possesses stronger code review and debugging abilities to find its own errors more effectively.
In addition, the Opus model supports a 1M token context for the first time in Beta, while the API pricing remains unchanged.
Claude Opus 4.6 is now available in the API and Claude Code.
Updating Claude Code
Simply run the following command:

Anthropic Gifting $50 to Paid Users
Along with the launch of the new model, Anthropic is offering a $50 benefit to users already subscribed to Claude Pro / MAX to experience the latest model.
This needs to be claimed manually. Just visit https://claude.ai/settings/usage and click Claim.
Claiming Conditions
To claim the $50, you must meet the following conditions:
- Subscribed to the Claude Pro / MAX plan before February 4th.
- Enable extra usage before February 16th.
So if you did not subscribe to Claude Pro before February 4th, you will not be able to claim the offer.
Validity Period
The claimed $50 balance is valid for 60 days.
Deadline
You can claim it before February 16th. If you are currently subscribed to Claude Pro / MAX, go ahead and claim your credit!
